Time for reflection

Thames Valley Bahá’í Cluster’s Area Teaching Committee has announced the date for its October 2011 cluster reflection meeting – this Sunday, 16 October.

The event, which is being hosted by Bahá’ís from Oxford, Abingdon and Cumnor, is to be held in Kennington Village Hall, Oxford.

Some of the duties of the Area Teaching Committee include:

  • Promoting the spread of short-term teaching projects
  • Learning about how the devotional character of neighbourhoods can be enhanced
  • Developing a culture of visits to each other’s homes for spiritual conversations
  • Collecting statistical information to help the Unitervisal House of Justice and the International Teaching Centre chart the progress of the cluster

Bob says his prayers

‘Our friend Bob’ will start his third ‘Way of Mastery’  session in Newbury on Tuesday (18 October) with prayers from across the Faiths.

Bob started holding regular, monthly ‘Way of Mastery’ classes in the town following his pilot session at a Time to Unwind evening in June.

‘Way of Mastery’ is affectionately referred to as ‘The PathWay’. It is  based around the fact that: “Whatever our backgrounds, all of us share a common suffering, and a common longing.

We are moved by the desire to grow, heal and know so that we can create and experience deeper fulfillment, peace, and contribution to others.”

Everyone is invited along to participate. For more details about these activities, please call the West Berkshire’s Bahá’í Community on 07964 676461 or email myra@khorassani.com
