Truthfulness is the foundation of all virtues

Thames Valley Bahá’ís will discuss Truthfulness at their next ‘Time to Unwind’ prayer and meditation devotional evening on Wednesday 6 July in Newbury.

Bahá’ís are taught, in the words of Abdu’l-Baha, that: “Truthfulness is the foundation of all the virtues of the world of humanity.

“Without truthfulness, progress and success in all of the worlds of God are impossible for a soul. When this holy attribute is established in man, all the divine qualities will also become realized.” (From Bahá’í World Faith—Selected Writings of Bahá’u’lláh and ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s Section Only, p. 449).

Tuesday’s child . . .

Tuesday 5 July is an opportunity to attend an event in Abingdon to explore ways of preparing and reaching out to others for a crucially important advance in Interfaith relations.

The day – being held at St Ethelwold’s House, 30 East St Helen’s Street, Abingdon from 10.30am to 4pm – is about deepening our spiritual relationships to grow harmony and peace in the world.

Organiser Wanda Nash said: “Being in the presence of God, waiting and trusting, without the need to define God, and to experience God’s presence with us in stillness, is the most bonding and peace-making action we can take.”
