It’s time for the education of man
‘Education of man’ is the subject for discussion at Thames Valley Bahá’í Community’s ‘Time to Unwind’ prayer and meditation devotional evening on Wednesday (20 April).
The meeting is a chance for Bahá’ís and non-Bahá’ís alike to discuss the words of Abdu’l-Baha: “Through education the ignorant become learned; the cowardly become valiant. …. Through education savage nations become civilized, and even the animals become domesticated. Education must be considered as most important, for as diseases in the world of bodies are extremely contagious, so, in the same way, qualities of spirit and heart are extremely contagious. Education has a universal influence, and the differences caused by it are very great.”
This quote is taken from: Abdu’l-Baha: Some Answered Questions”, pp. 212–15.
A new topic is chosen for discussion most Wednesdays. For more details about these activities, please call the West Berkshire’s Bahá’í Community on 07964 676461 or email myra@khorassani.com
