“Every meeting which is organized for the purpose of unity and concord will be conducive to changing strangers into friends, enemies into associates, and ‘Abdu’l-Bahá will be present in His heart and soul with that meeting.”ʻAbdu’l-Bahá

Time for reflection

Thames Valley Bahá’í Cluster’s Area Teaching Committee has announced the date for its October 2011 cluster reflection meeting – this Sunday, 16 October.

The event, which is being hosted by Bahá’ís from Oxford, Abingdon and Cumnor, is to be held in Kennington Village Hall, Oxford.

Some of the duties of the Area Teaching Committee include:

  • Promoting the spread of short-term teaching projects
  • Learning about how the devotional character of neighbourhoods can be enhanced
  • Developing a culture of visits to each other’s homes for spiritual conversations
  • Collecting statistical information to help the Unitervisal House of Justice and the International Teaching Centre chart the progress of the cluster
