Education is the most urgent requirement

Thames Valley Baha’i Community has relaunched its regular ‘thought for the month’ Baha’i webposts.

 ‘Thought for the month’ highlights selected writings of the Bahá’í Faith, each taken from the Bahai Reference Library.

September’s ‘thought for the month’:

The primary, the most urgent requirement is the promotion of education. It is inconceivable that any nation should achieve prosperity and success unless this paramount, this fundamental concern is carried forward.

16 Baha’is were initially detained after Iranian authorities raided around 30 homes associated with staff and faculty of the Baha’i Institute for Higher Education earlier this summer.

According to the Baha’i World News Service from the Baha’i  International Community, the most recent information indicates that 11 remain in prison. Read more.
