A Joyful Afternoon of Unity and Service in Northway

A friendly and enthusiastic community of young people coming together to serve and support their local area, met in Northway, Oxford for a litter-picking project. They started the afternoon by introducing themselves in a fun and relaxed way, sharing their favourite animals and ice cream flavours, which helped everyone feel comfortable and connected. They then learned a song about unity and listened to a story that reminded them how much stronger they are when they work together. It set a really positive tone and helped everyone think about the importance of teamwork and friendship.

They listened to a story that reminded them how much stronger they are when they work together.

After enjoying some snacks, the group wrapped up warm, put on their gloves, and headed out to the park for their litter pick. Even though it was a bit windy, their energy stayed high and they worked together brilliantly, managing to fill two big bags with litter by the end. Afterwards, they came back together to reflect on the day, realising how much fun they’d had and how good it felt to do something meaningful as a team. They also spent a little time doing some art before heading home, leaving the afternoon feeling happy, proud, and excited to keep finding ways to help their community together.
